ABOUT MIDDLESBROUGH POWERCHAIR FOOTBALL CLUB

Middlesbrough Powerchair Football Club was formed in 2012 to provide football in the local area for people, of all ages and gender, with a severe physical disability as at that time no other sporting provision existed in the area.

Powerchair football is the only fast paced team sport that people with a severe physical disability can play.  Our club has had more than 80 players benefit from the beautiful game since we formed and currently has around 26 players of varying physical disabilities, some players also have autism/a learning disability as well as their physical disability.  All our players' disabilities affect them so much physically that they can not take part in mainstream team sports.

Middlesbrough Powerchair Football Club is affiliated to the Wheelchair Football Association and North Riding County Football Association.  All coaches have up to date FA DBS certificates as well as up to date FA safeguarding certificates.
